The Annapolis-based non-profit Oyster Recovery Partnership – Maryland’s leader for oyster restoration in the Chesapeake Bay-- is hosting the area’s First-Ever “Mermaid’s Kiss Oyster Fest” from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept 9 at Sandy Point State Park as a “Pre-Party” to the Maryland Seafood Festival and a fundraiser to plant more oysters into our Bay. Pre-order tickets now for $25 and save as the at-the-door price is $35. The menu will consist of 8 varieties of oysters, appetizers, beer, wine and soda. There will be a 50/50 raffle and an award ceremony will recognize outstanding environmental stewardship leaders in our community.
