On March 31 at 12:30 p.m., the AACC Women’s Institute is sponsoring a free showing of the film, “Refrigerator Mothers,” as part of its spring film series on gender and disability. The 54-minute film explore the ways in which gender and race influenced and distorted the diagnosis and treatment of children with autism from the 1950s to the 1970s and will be shown in the Careers Center Room 129 on AACC Arnold campus.
