Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks serves millions of residents and visitors annually through a wide variety of services and programs. Its primary focus is to provide comprehensive recreational programs for residents and safeguard valuable land through the maintenance and management of over 160 parks and natural areas. The department manages specialized recreational facilities, including two swim centers, two golf courses, three ice rinks, a baseball stadium, a softball complex, and programs tailored to diverse needs ranging from school-age childcare to adaptive recreation. It also cares for thousands of acres of land, encompassing community parks, greenways, archaeological sites, environmental and historical preserves, and large regional parks spanning several hundred acres. Its mission is to create opportunities that allow individuals to enjoy life, explore nature, and restore their health and well-being. If you like good wine and fine food, you'll want to take part in the Goshen Farm Wine Tasting! The event will be held on Saturday, October 11, from 4 to 7 PM at 1504 Stacey Lane, Annapolis, MD 21409. Goshen Farm is located in the Broadneck area of Annapolis, just off of Cape St. Claire Road near the entrance to the Cape St. Claire community. The suggested donation for the wine tasting is $15 per person and includes 6 pourings and a paired menu of food and hors d'oeuvres. The event is restricted to ages 21 and older.
