Jing Ying Launches Chinese Language Classes
Open houses for a language program are scheduled for next week.

Ever wanted to learn Chinese? in Arnold is giving everyone a chance to be oriented at open house events scheduled for Monday and Thursday.
Mandarin Chinese classes will be offered for children and adults later this year. Two free open houses are scheduled for next week to provide some more information about what these courses will entail, and give newcomers an opportunity to ask questions, according to a release.
Monday's open house, set for 6:30 p.m., will focus on the adult-only class. Thursday's, also set for 6:30 p.m., will be more child and family-oriented.

The teacher, Bixia Pan of The Window to China program, is teaming up with Jing Ying to provide an authentic Chinese learning experience, with a focus on fun learning that incorporates Chinese culture, games, and songs to help students gain a better understanding of the language, according to a release.
There will be speaking, reading, listening and writing for all levels. Children will learn through stories, songs games, dancing and crafts. Adults will learn through an interactive style, incorporating role-playing and practice through different scenarios. Classes are delivered in a small-group setting.
