'Witches' Coming to Children's Theatre of Annapolis

The Witches: A Tribute to Roald Dahl by the (CTA) will feature local kids, ages 8 to 18. The show opens Oct. 14 and runs through Oct. 23.

Dahl is best known for his beloved children's books such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach and Matilda.

The Witches is an adaptation of Dahl’s story where a boy and his grandmother defeat the Grand High Witch and her followers, who are holding a conference in a seaside hotel.

According to the CTA website, the show offers "humor, illusions and inventive puppetry." It is directed by Emily Cory and Steve Mangum, assistant director.

Shows will be performed on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Oct. 16 at 2 p.m., Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 23 at 2 p.m.

According to the CTA website, the cast list includes: Alexandra Baca, Devon Beagan, Mary Buckingham, Reilly Claxton, Colleen Coleman, Cara Crosby, Sam Cush, Austin Dare, Megan Dickey, Elisabeth Dixon, Lacey Eden, Sam Ellis, Katie Garrity, Jessica Gentile, Sydney Giddings, Addison Hennick, Jory Holmes, Priscilla Kerdock, Yasmeen Meek, Kaitlyn Mummert, Madison Ouellette, Eli Pendry, Maddie Poole, Sophie Poole, Kennedy Smith, Alliana Snead, Emma Snead, Mallory Snodgrass, Grace Timko, Camille White, Mariel White and Caroline Yearwood.

Cost for tickets is $15 for adults, $12 for kids (12 and younger), and seniors 60 and older. Tickets can be purchased online or by contacting the box office at 410-757-2281 or boxoffice@childrenstheatreofannapolis.org.
