Workshop at Arnold Senior Center Offers Guidance for Caregivers
Speakers will discuss "Future Conversations β¦ Today" on Wednesday to offer advice on asking questions that will help make decisions regarding care.

If you are caring for a loved one, it's difficult to know what questions to ask when it comes to the future and medical decisions.
As part of the free of , the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities will offer guidance on how to start these tough discussions on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the .
Those who has wonder "when it is time to stop aggressive medical treatment and shift to non-medical palliative care for a loved one with dementia will get good information at this program," according to a release from the department.

Mary Fridley, founder of Gero-Resources LLC, and Sherrill Ross-Wieneke, vice president of clinical operations for Hospice of the Chesapeake, will speak on βFuture Conversations β¦ Today.β The workshop will include information on how to ask the right questions now and get the answers needed to make future decisions.
βThese programs have been well received by the public in the past, because the population is aging and people are seeking information to prepare themselves or their loved ones for the future,β says Mary Chaput, director of the National Family Caregiver Support Program at the department, in a release. βMany attendees are caregivers of their parents or another loved one, and they want questions answered in advance of a family crisis.β
