12-Year-Old Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash Near Catonsville: Police
Two pedestrians were hit on Rolling Road Friday night at Johnnycake Road, police said; one died, and another was injured.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police said a child was killed in a hit-and-run crash on North Rolling Road near Catonsville Friday night. A pregnant woman was also injured, according to officials.
The two pedestrians were crossing North Rolling Road east at Johnnycake Road when they were hit by a car at 9:21 p.m. on Friday, March 22, police reported.
The suspect vehicle was an older model Honda Accord — possibly 1990 to 1991 — according to police. Instead of stopping, authorities allege the car continued south on North Rolling Road.

Maria Popal, 12, was transported to Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased, police said.
A 32-year-old pregnant woman was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police. The status of her pregnancy was unknown, law enforcement officials said.
