The vehicle hit two people who had been standing outside the Dunkin’ Donuts and pushed them through the front of the store, according to the report.

The victims—two Ellicott City men, ages 36 and 44—were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where they were in serious condition Sunday night, the Howard County Police Department reported. One had life-threatening injuries, while the other had serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to on-call public information officer Adam Nolder.
