4th Of July Fireworks, Parade 2020 Canceled In Catonsville

Traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled in Catonsville, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.

CATONSVILLE, MD — The highly anticipated 74th annual Independence Day Celebration in Catonsville has been canceled for 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers shared on Facebook. However, they advised residents to be prepared for a huge 2021 celebration, which will mark the 75th annual celebration.

July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, like Catonsville.

However, organizers could not overlook this special day and have decided to celebrate July 4 by lining the Frederick Road parade route with banners that honor 2020 graduates and front line heroes. A one-sided banner costs $10 and a two-sided banner costs $15. An order form can be found on Facebook.
