BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — An arrest was made Wednesday at Woodlawn High School after a loaded firearm was found by Baltimore County Police, officials said.
The department said in an X post that officers found the weapon while responding to reports of a possible fight on school grounds.
Police were called to the high school, located at 1801 Woodlawn Drive, around 10 a.m.
"No weapon was discharged, and no student was injured during the incident," the department said in the post.
Citing a statement from Principal Yalonda Booker, The Baltimore Sun reported that a school resource officer had confiscated the gun from a student who had been involved in an altercation with a classmate. That student was subsequently arrested.
Baltimore County Police say an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
