Each year two employees at Charlestown retirement community are selected who best represent the Erickson Living Experience Values in action. All employees are eligible for this recognition and can be nominated by anyone in the community including co-workers, managers and residents. This year’s winners are Anthony Wright and Heather Reck.
“Best of the Best” Award Winner Anthony Wright:
Two years ago Charlestown decided to hire a gatehouse Security Officer with a special focus on meeting and greeting everyone entering its community with warmth and a smile to demonstrate the Erickson Living value of “Respect and Caring.” There is something special about Anthony Wright. Since his arrival hardly a day goes by without someone commending him on the way he makes them feel special and welcomed. Anthony epitomizes the Erickson Way and helps to create a positive experience for everyone as soon as they enter the front gate.

“Erickson Leadership” Award Winner Heather Reck:
Heather Reck has been at Charlestown for just over one year, serving as the community Financial Analyst. She has been a tremendous asset to the finance team and to the community at large. Her financial acumen and technical skills allowed her to jump in feet first. Using these skills, she’s been able to master reporting and analytical needs quickly. More important, her enthusiasm and approachability has allowed her to build strong working relationships with all departments. One of the most memorable moments occurred during Charlestown’s 30th anniversary celebration this past summer when Heather demonstrated “Friendliness and Enthusiasm” by graciously wearing the balloon birthday cake that everyone greatly enjoyed. She has also shared her own time in delivering a financial management class to help staff better manage their own personal finances.
