Here are the top three stories in Catonsville today:
- Today, Dec. 5, at 10:00 a.m., Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski and nine other elected officials will be sworn in at a ceremony at Goucher College's Kraushaar Auditorium in nearby Towson. Olszewski will give his second inaugural address during the proceedings. (Perry Hall Patch)
- Two conservative school board candidates won their races in Baltimore County: Julie Henn for Baltimore County District 5 and Maggie Litz Domanowski for Baltimore County District 3. Domanowski wants parents to "do the moral guiding" at home and for schools to focus on basic subjects. She said, "My kids are my kids, and I don't want someone teaching them a moral or anything about sexuality before I have a chance to teach it to them." She also thinks parents should have full access to school curricula. (Royal Examiner)
- Rolling Brook Yoga & Pilates, located at 1715 Edmondson Avenue in Catonsville, is hosting a "Parent's Night Out" event on Dec. 9. Parents can take the night off or finish Christmas shopping while the kids have a fun evening of yoga, crafts, storytime, and a movie. (Catonsville Patch)
