Police ID Body Found In Patapsco Valley State Park

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Authorities say that a homicide investigation is underway after an Elkridge man was found dead in Patapsco Valley State Park. A woman walking her dog found his body.

Glenroy St. Aubyn Copeland, 27, of the 7700 block of Alastor Court in Elkridge, was located along a trail in the park near River and Thistle roads at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, according to police.

Police released Copeland's identity Friday, June 21.

INITIAL REPORT: After a woman found a body while walking her dog over the weekend in Patapsco Valley State Park, homicide detectives are investigating. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

The body was found along a trail in the park near River and Thistle roads at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, according to police.

The Baltimore County Homicide Unit was called to the scene and said Monday the investigation was ongoing.

Police did not release the man's identity, which was part of the investigation.
