Catonsville Art Beat for November

Catonsville's art movement is alive and well.

The Catonsville Arts Guild and "Create in 21228" are showing off their many talents. The display windows of American Medical Equipment at 733 Frederick Road has been artistically transformed by CAG members Lorraine Ilwold and Dawn Kearning. A larger-than-life pillbox spiraling large pills along with a kinetic flourish of bedpans. Take a look the next time your out on Frederick Road.

November marks a change in artistic scenery.

New CAG art exhibits are being displayed in Catonsville.

  • At Narcissus Hair Salon, 28 Bloomsbury Ave, the artwork of Frank Kirby is now up. His paintings show a fine sense of subtle color in the landscape.
  • Sam's Bagels, 730 Frederick Road, has the artwork of Ian Herrick gracing the walls, drop by for a bagel sandwich and see "Joe Flacco".
  • Frederick Road Veterinary Hospital, 816 Frederick Road, is now open and displaying the artwork of Lorraine Ilwold and Dawn Kearning. Lorraine's prints from cut linoleum show a bit of whimsy. Dawn's photos mounted on metal reveal a keen eye on life.

You can find the Catonsvile Arts Guild online and on Facebook.
