The Worthington Post

I am dabbling in the world of blogging...please allow me to introduce myself. :)

I am coming out of the writing closet.  I haven’t really realized the nature of my tendencies until others pointed it out to me.  It was somewhere in the back of my mind – lurking…lingering… but I have to do it.  I have to be honest.  I can’t hide it in my Facebook notes any longer.  I can’t hide it in my Mom’s Talks on Catonsville Patch anymore.  Apparently, I am…a… (hushed whisper) b-l-o-g-g-e-r

Yes, people, my Patch editor teased me for writing…um…lengthy introductions to the week’s discussion topic. A great friend suggested that my Facebook notes were, really, blog posts only available to my friends on Facebook. To top it all off, Patch is launching this blogging initiative, offering its site to local bloggers.  So…

My name is Aliza.  (“Hi, Aliza.”)  I didn’t used to like to write, but now I do.  I have three kids, who will sometimes make appearances as subjects in my posts.  I have a nutso, fantabulous husband, who will make appearances, as well.  He is so funny that soon, you will wish he were the one writing this blog.  Too bad for you.

This blog might, like me, lack focus.  This blog might, like me, have wild mood swings and drastic changes in tone from one to another.  Topics may span from the sublime (kids, glassblowing and pizza) to the ridiculous (Spongebob, politics, and why my name should be spelled “UH-LEEEEEE-ZUH.”)  I hope it will be kinda like this guy, but with better hair:

I love that guy.
