Carpenters Local 491 To Help Unload, Lay Wreaths In Catonsville

The Wreaths Across America ceremony is scheduled for this week at the Baltimore National Cemetery.

CATONSVILLE, MD — Members of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Local 491 will be helping unload and lay wreaths for the Wreaths Across America ceremony scheduled for this week at the Baltimore National Cemetery. The event helps honor military veterans who are no longer present. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event has limited availability for volunteers to help lay wreaths this year.

The pandemic also has caused many union members to become unemployed. With a bit of time on their hands, the union members readily stepped up to volunteer their time. The wreaths will be unloaded and set up at the Baltimore National Cemetery in Catonsville Thursday beginning at 9 a.m.
