Catonsville Church Burglar Sought By Police

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who broke into a Catonsville church June 9.

CATONSVILLE, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department asks for the public's help in identifying the suspect who broke into a Catonsville church June 9. According to the police department, the church was closed to the public at the time of the incident. Police believe the man entered the church through an unlocked window at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Once inside, the man broke into the pastor's office and stole several items. Surveillance video shows the man peering through the windows of the church. Police believe the man is approximately 50 to 60 years old with a gray beard and balding gray hair. He was wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt over a white long-sleeved shirt with black jeans. He also carried a cane, police say.

Baltimore County burglary detectives ask that anyone with information about the incident or the suspect call 410-307-2020. If callers want to remain anonymous, they can submit a tip through Metro Crime Stoppers.
