Catonsville Crash Kills Driver: Maryland State Police

According to Maryland State Police, the driver veered off the roadway and struck the left shoulder guardrail, then was hit by a vehicle.

CATONSVILLE, MD — Late Wednesday night, two vehicles heading northbound on I-95 near exit 47 collided, killing Marita Estrada Guerra. At approximately 10:54 p.m., Maryland State Police responded to the accident. According to the police department, Guerra was traveling northbound, veered off the roadway and struck the left shoulder guardrail. Her vehicle came to rest perpendicular with the roadway in lane 3.

A second vehicle, also traveling northbound I-95 in lane 3, struck the broadside of Guerra’s vehicle on the driver’s side causing significant damage. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for non-life threatening injuries. Maryland State Police are investigating the fatal crash.
