Catonsville Man Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash: Police
The 30-year-old Catonsville was pronounced dead at the scene.
CATONSVILLE, MD — A 30-year-old Catonsville man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon. Luke Souders was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical service personnel from the Baltimore County Fire Department. Maryland State Police believe Dylan Shields, 29, of Halethorpe rear-ended Souders who was driving a 2007 Honda Accord. Shields was driving a 2014 Chevy Silverado northbound on I-95.
Investigators believe this crash caused a chain reaction resulting in two additional vehicles becoming involved, a Kia Forte and a Volkswagen GTI. Shields refused medical treatment at the scene. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Kia Forte was driven by Melinda Moore, 52, of Gywnn Oak. The Volkswagen GTI was driven by Patrick Cavanaugh, 42, of Stewartstown, Penn. Cavanaugh was transported by ambulance to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Moore refused medical treatment at the scene.
