Catonsville Motorcyclist Killed In Crash: Police

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police said a Catonsville man died Friday night in a two-vehicle crash on Liberty Road. He was riding a motorcycle at the time of the collision, officials said, and the other driver was unharmed.

Rudy Anthony Coles, 48, of the 500 block of Valcour Road, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital, police said.

Coles had been headed east on his motorcycle on Liberty Road around 9:20 p.m. when a 2018 Toyota Corolla was trying to make a left into the Exxon gas station from the center turn lane of westbound Liberty Road, according to police.

Authorities said the motorcycle skidded and hit the edge of the Corolla, throwing the motorcyclist off his bike.

Police said Coles was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, while the driver of the Corolla, who was not identified, was uninjured.
