CATONSVILLE, MD -- Scores of Charlestown retirement community residents and staff will participate in a Monday, November 17, Turkey Trot fundraiser for Marian House, a holistic, healing community for women and their children who are in need of housing and support services.
Marian House provides a safe, sober, and loving environment that challenges women to respect and love themselves, confront emotional and socioeconomic issues, and transition to stable and independent lives.

The Turkey Trot will begin at 10 a.m. at Charlestown Square on the community’s 110-acre campus, 715 Maiden Choice Lane. Participants, led by a “mystery,” costumed Turkey, will walk along the 1.3-mile loop road. They will complete a short walk and/or a long walk.
An 11 a.m. reception will be held in the Continuing Care neighborhood at Charlestown, at which time gift cards will be presented (the Turkey Trot is expected to raise nearly $500). A “Gobble” contest will be held, as will a “Guess the Turkey” contest.
