🌱 County Tax Increases 'Not On The Table' + Seclusion Ban Bill?
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Catonsville.

Happy Tuesday, people of Catonsville! Here's everything going on in town today.
First, today's weather:
Mild with some sun. High: 68 Low: 39.
Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- According to Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski, countywide tax increases are "not on the table at all" in this year's budget. Olszewski had previously raised taxes in 2019, his first year in office, to close an $81 million budget deficit. However, with Baltimore County receiving $160 million in federal COVID-19 relief funds, the financial outlook has changed. The next budget town hall will take place tomorrow, Mar. 16, at 6:30 p.m. on the Catonsville campus of the Community College of Baltimore County. (WYPR)
- Delegate Eric Ebersole (D-Baltimore County) is sponsoring a bill that would ban the practice of seclusion in Maryland public schools. The bill comes three months after federal investigators discovered students with disabilities at Frederick County Public Schools were frequently secluded and physically restrained. Some individual school districts within the state have already banned the practice. (Maryland Matters)
