Here are the top stories today in Catonsville:

  1. Certain Baltimore County services will be closed today in observance of Veterans Day, including all government offices, County District and Circuit Courts, County Health Department COVID-19 testing sites, and CountyRide van services. Trash and recycling services/facilities, the Baltimore County Revenue Authority parking garages, and the Baltimore County Public Library will operate as normal. (Catonsville Patch)
  2. The Catonsville Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Baltimore County Arts Guide to bring a festive sparkle to town this holiday season. Catonsville Sparkle will connect artists, volunteers and creatives with Catonsville business owners who want to bring a special holiday glow to their store windows. Interested parties must register at bcartsguild.org/sparkle by Nov. 15 and complete their window displays by Nov. 27. Stipends for artists and window-dressing materials are available and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three windows as determined by the voting public. (Baltimore County Arts Guild)
  3. Members of the Catonsville Senior Center members who served in the Armed Forces got a special Veterans Day surprise from the Special Events committee yesterday. The center was decorated in red, white, and blue and veterans received a gift of appreciation. (Catonsville Senior Center Council)
