  1. Looking to get your COVID-19 booster shot in Catonsville? You can make an appointment at Geipe Pharmacy on N. Rolling Road or Catonsville Pharmacy on Frederick Road, as well as any nearby major pharmacy chain, Sam's Club, Walmart, or Giant Food location. There are also multiple vaccination sites operated by Baltimore County. The CDC says Pfizer and Moderna booster shots both provide increased protection against COVID-19 and help prevent severe symptoms in breakthrough cases. (Catonsville Patch)
  2. Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, or temporary work, plenty of employers in Catonsville are currently hiring. There are multiple truck driving positions open for applicants with a Commercial Driver's License, but if you're not interested in driving, HydroChemPSC is looking for an equipment operator and Regency Furniture needs a sales associate. If you don't mind a short commute, there are also numerous jobs available in Baltimore and surrounding cities. (Catonsville Patch)
  3. A 98-year-old WWII veteran met his canine namesake in Catonsville last week, thanks to nonprofit Warrior Canine Connection. This Maryland-based organization trains and matches service dogs for veterans with disabilities, and each of its pups is named after a veteran. United States Army Private First Class Alfred Francis Bucci, who fought through the Battle of the Bulge nearly 80 years ago, met Bucci the dog in his home and the two instantly bonded. Private Bucci described the experience as "an honor," and commended Warrior Canine Connection for its efforts to support veterans. (WJLA)
