Now displaying the work of artists at Reservoir Studio. Reservoir Studio provides art classes and studio space to new, beginner, and experienced artists.
The student will learn THE PROCESS of creating. Traditional techniques and methods will be taught; however, the emphasis of the class will be on understanding and interpreting the internal dialogue that occurs while creating artwork. You will learn to persevere through the struggle, the fight and the exploration; and to recognize the key points of decision making and finding resolve in your work. You will gain skills in grappling the push and pull of creating, the constant exchange between you and your subject matter, you and your materials, and between you and the space around you. You will learn to be FEARLESS and RESILIENT while creating. The class is NOT about producing a masterpiece. The purpose of teaching “PROCESS” is to lay a foundation of confidence in oneself in order to maneuver any situation or set of elements to create something new and inventive. ~Karen M.
