The Historian: Citizen of the World, and an Archive Mouse

UMBC's 2010-2011 Lipitz Professor of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences James Grubb will present the annual Lipitz lecture on April 20. He will remind us that although historians strive to be citizens of the world, the task of reconstructing the ordinary can only take place in the archives by painstakingly assembling the scattered shards of forgotten lives.
