UMBC Opera Workshop

The Department of Music presents the UMBC Opera Workshop under the direction of Thom King. A course designed for 8-15 advanced vocalists, Opera Workshop offers students the opportunity to study stage acting, movement, and character development within the sphere of musical performance. The fall semester typically involves students perfecting shorter scenes, while in the spring semester a performance of a short opera or comparable project is planned.
