  1. More than 30 local restaurants are taking part in Baltimore County's Fall Restaurant Week, scheduled through Oct. 24. All participating restaurants will offer special menus and deals for dine-in, takeout, or curbside pick-up. Catonsville favorites Atwater's, El Guapo, and State Fare are included in the Restaurant Week roster. (CBS Baltimore)
  2. The Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Fall Open House on Tuesday, Oct. 19th from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. Current and prospective members are invited to learn more about the work of the Chamber, their strategic vision for the next year, and the benefits of membership. Light hors d'oeuvres will be supplied by local businesses The Center for Advanced Orthopaedics, Edible, Image360 Arbutus, and the Soul & Krab House. (Catonsville Patch)

The flu season is fast approaching, and local health officials are warning of a possible "twindemic" of both COVID-19 and the flu — especially during the winter months, making vaccination against both diseases more important than ever. To help, Baltimore County held its annual Super Weekend flu vaccination clinic this weekend. Four pop-up clinics were set up across the county on Saturday and Sunday morning for both walk-in and scheduled appointments. (CBS Baltimore)
