Here are the top stories in and around Catonsville today:

1. Baltimore County Police are still investigating a fatal crash that happened in Catonsville last week. Cody Daniel Darby, 27, tried to pass a Toyota Rav4 on the right narrow shoulder of eastbound Baltimore National Pike at a high rate of speed and crashed into the rear of the vehicle when it made a right turn. Crash Team investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding this crash. (Catonsville Patch)
2. Start making your reservations! Dozens of local eateries, including Catonsville's own Atwater Catonsville and El Guapo, will be participating in Baltimore County Restaurant Week, happening Oct. 15 through 24. Organized by Baltimore County Tourism, Restaurant Week is an opportunity to support small businesses and enjoy great deals on dine-in or take-out orders. (Baltimore County Restaurant Week)
3. Six people were shot, one fatally, in a mass shooting in East Baltimore on Wednesday evening. Police responded to a shooting report at Patterson Park Avenue and Preston Street and found four victims shot at the scene. A 38-year-old woman was pronounced dead, while two other victims walked themselves to a nearby hospital. Residents are urged to call police with any information. (FOX Baltimore)
