Here are the top stories today in Catonsville:

1. The Baltimore County Police is seeking the public's help as they investigate a fatal shooting at Stamford Rd. On Friday evening, Baltimore County officers responded to an area behind the 1200 block in reference to a call for shots fired. When officers arrived on the scene, they located 23-year-old Christopher Brooks, who was fatally shot. As homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this case, they are asking anyone with information to contact them. (Press Release Desk)
2. Has your household collected a surplus of candy this Halloween? Today only, Hillcrest Elementary School will be hosting its "Great Candy Giveback" event. Students can drop their unwanted candy into tubs at their grade level's entrances on their way in. All treats will be donated to organizations in need, including the Westside Shelter, Love the HopeFul, The Children's Home. (Hillcrest Elementary School)
3. The Baltimore County Public Library will be hosting a virtual "Dance for Health and Wellness" event today at 10:00 a.m. The class is designed to gently stretch the body while improving coordination, breathing, memory, cardio, and balance all while moving to uplifting music.
