Following the River's Natural Course
NOVEMBER 12, 7 - 8:30 pm / Catonsville Library / 1100 Frederick Rd. / Catonsville. MD HISTORY DAYS presented by Patapsco Heritage Greenway

In the 1800’s the natural flow of the Patapsco River was harnessed by four dams to power the Valley’s Industrial Revolution. Today, these dams are being removed to help return the river’s ecosystem to that observed 400 hundred years ago by John
Smith. Learn more about the dam removal process and the studies now underway by naturalists to gauge the river’s progress.
