Here are the top stories in Catonsville today:
- A food delivery driver was stabbed in Baltimore County on Saturday evening despite giving the suspects money. The incident happened just after 10 p.m. in Pikesville. The driver was rushed to the hospital but is expected to survive. Baltimore County police have not provided any description of the suspects. Local residents are on alert and advise food delivery services to take precautions such as meeting the driver at the door and making sure porch lights are on. (CBS Baltimore)
- A house fire in Baltimore County on Monday morning resulted in one person being rescued and transported to the hospital as a Priority 1 patient, according to the local fire department. Officials tweeted that crews were dispatched to the 4100 block of Powells Run Road after reports of a dwelling fire, upon arrival crews noticed fire showing from the dwelling. The cause of the fire is under investigation at the time of this writing. (WBFF)
- On Monday, several young volunteers with the 6th Branch and Midway Community Development Corporation worked to clean debris and garbage from a portion of East Baltimore in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy. The volunteers, including Neferkhar Purvis, brothers Aiden, Lucas, and Max Jordan, plus Airanna Wheeler, were motivated by King's leadership and his emphasis on serving the community. (WBAL TV)
