- A former Catonsville High School teacher passed away peacefully earlier in the month. 82-year-old Fred Yanero of Ellicott City taught for 38 years combined at Catonsville and other schools across Maryland. He excelled as a basketball coach and led his teams to many county and state championships over his coaching career before retiring in 1998. (Times West Virginian)
