The Game of Life Will be Won

I always admired Joe Namath's swagger, confidence and non-conformity. His outlook on aging (paraphrased here) is what I try to adapt:

I am now in the 4th quarter in the game of life. The clock is winding down. I still have all of my time outs. And my playbook has many options left in it.

Some of the best plays in a game happen in the 4th quarter, and many games go into overtime.

Namath's iconic Super Bowl III prediction resonates in a different context: "This game will be won. I guarantee it."
