Here are the top stories in Catonsville today:

  1. Baltimore County is planting hundreds of trees in about 30 neighborhoods with little vegetation, low income, and a lot of people. Several Catonsville neighborhoods will be included in "Operation ReTree." About $400,000 in this year's county budget is earmarked for the initiative, and officials are also proposing spending an additional $1.5 million in federal money the county is receiving from the American Rescue Plan Act.   2. It's Neighbor Made is hosting its Fall Craft Fair this weekend (Saturday, Nov. 6 and Sunday, Nov. 7) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each day will feature a new set of local vendors selling one-of-a-kind crafted items, just in time for the holiday shopping season. The event will be held at 701 Frederick Rd. in Catonsville. (It's Neighbor Made)
  3. Jim Ferry has officially been announced as UMBC's new men's basketball coach after four years at Penn State. (wmar2news.com)
