I-695 Reopens At US 40: Officials

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A vehicle fire temporarily closed the outer loop of Interstate 695 in Baltimore County, officials said. The incident occurred in the area of US 40 before 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Traffic was detoured onto US 40 to get off the beltway during the closure.

By 8:40 a.m., the right lanes had reopened, and traffic was moving; the vehicle involved was moved to the left lane and left shoulder, officials reported.
