Here are the top stories today in Catonsville:

1. Several daytime lane and shoulder closures may impact traffic in Catonsville this week. As the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) completes improvements along I-695, the Outer Loop between Edmondson Avenue and MD 372 (Wilkens Avenue) is scheduled for single right or left lane and shoulder closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m today (Nov. 8) through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. There may be additional temporary shoulder closures along the Outer Loop as construction equipment and personnel move through the work zone during the day next week. (roads.maryland.gov)
2. The Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce is hosting its last networking event of the year at Catonsville Mercantile (2302 Frederick Road) tomorrow, Nov. 9.
