Reports that Trump's Department of Homeland Security is in talks with a reality TV show producer about a game show in which immigrant contestants would compete for U.S. citizenship is disturbing proof that we are living in a dystopian nightmare.
It is disgusting that the Trump administration admits to be considering such a demeaning, cruel way to treat people who are in the United States to escape persecution and torture in their homeland.
Immigrants deserve human dignity. It is barbaric for Trump to dare to think to use them for gratuitous "Hunger Games"-esque entertainment.
