Loafer's Shooting Injures 1 In Parking Lot: Police

Police said the victim was shot at multiple times outside the restaurant on Route 40.

CATONSVILLE, MD — A man was shot and wounded in the parking lot of Loafer's Sports Bar and Grill on Christmas morning, according to police. The victim is expected to survive his injuries, officials said.

At 12:30 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of gunshots in the 6500 block of Baltimore National Pike. There were multiple gunshots heard in the area but when officers arrived they did not find anyone.

Around 1 a.m., authorities said they learned a 27-year-old man had gone to a local hospital for a gunshot wound to the upper body and verified it was the victim.
