- William Allen, a World War II Army veteran and a dedicated member of Grace Bible Baptist Church in Catonsville, is celebrating his 100th birthday this week. Allen served tours of duty in Australia, The Philippines, and the South Pacific/Papa New Guinea, where he worked as a cook. After the military, he became a deacon at Fulton Baptist Church in Baltimore. (wmar2news.com)
- On Wednesday, Oct. 20, join the Baltimore County Arts Guild at the Clubhouse of Catonsville at 10 St Timothys Lane for a friendly jam session. Registration is not required, and events are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month. (Baltimore County Arts Guild)
- The Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation is seeking input from residents about the future of public transit in the county. The public can offer feedback on Baltimore County's Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan via an online survey, an online mapping tool, or written comments to improve transportation in the county.
