  1. William Allen, a World War II Army veteran and a dedicated member of Grace Bible Baptist Church in Catonsville, is celebrating his 100th birthday this week. Allen served tours of duty in Australia, The Philippines, and the South Pacific/Papa New Guinea, where he worked as a cook.   2. On Wednesday, Oct. 20, join the Baltimore County Arts Guild at the Clubhouse of Catonsville at 10 St Timothys Lane for a friendly jam session. Registration is not required, and events are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month. (Baltimore County Arts Guild)
