Halethorpe Man Killed In Catonsville Motorcycle Crash Trying To Pass SUV: Police
A Halethorpe man was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Catonsville when he attempted to pass an SUV on the shoulder of the road.
CATONSVILLE, MD โ A Halethorpe man died Saturday in a motorcycle accident in Catonsville. According to the Baltimore County Police Department, 27-year-old Cody Daniel Darby of the 5700 block of 1st Avenue was traveling at a high rate of speed along the Baltimore National Pike shortly after 9 p.m.
Darby was driving a Honda motorcycle and tried to pass a Toyota Rav4 on the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes. The driver of the Toyota turned right while Darby was trying to pass and his motorcycle hit the rear of the Rav4. Darby was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police department.
The Baltimore County Police Department's crash team is investigating.
