Month-Long November Move for Hunger Drive at Charlestown

773,200 People in Maryland Live on Incomes That Put Them at Risk of Hunger

A month-long November food drive to support Move For Hunger, a non-profit organization that works with relocation companies across North America to pick up unwanted, unopened food and deliver it to local food banks, is now underway at Charlestown retirement community in Catonsville, MD, and Let’s Move in Fulton, MD.

More than 773,200 people in Maryland live on incomes that put them at risk of hunger. Thirty-four percent of those in need are children.

To address this immediate need, Let’s Move and Charlestown are collecting non-perishable food items to aid those in need. While all donations are welcome, suggested food items include soup, rice, peanut butter, pasta sauce, canned fruits and vegetables, baby food, and cookies.
