Obituary: Former State Senator Nancy L. Murphy

Former State Senator and lifelong Catonsville resident Nancy Murphy passed away on Dec. 30, according to obituaries posted online.

A graduate of and what was then Catonsville Community College, Murphy served in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1983 to 1989 and in the Maryland Senate from 1989 to 1994.

She was a longtime member of and is remembered around town for working concessions at little league games as well as dropping off cookies and desserts to the Wilkens Police Station.

Visitation hours will be from Tuesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
