Here are the top stories in Catonsville today:

1. Over 200 Baltimore County Public Schools students and staff are currently in quarantine due to rising COVID-19 cases. These reported numbers reflect positive test results that have been self-reported to BCPS, as well as people who are quarantining due to close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. As of Monday, Baltimore County overall had a total of 77,595 positive new COVID-19 cases and 1,815 deaths, according to the Baltimore County Health Department. (Catonsville Patch)
2. There are just five more Catonsville Sunday Farmers Markets left in 2021! The final market of the year will be held on Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 15 Mellor Ave. Bundle up and check out this vibrant community event, then spend the rest of your afternoon shopping and dining in town. 3. More details have been released about disciplinary records of the former Baltimore County officers who abducted two young girls and were killed in a car crash this week following a police manhunt. Robert Vicosa, who had briefly worked in the Catonsville precinct, was terminated from his position with the BCPD in August 2021 after more than a decade of written reprimands, demotions, and failures to appear in court. Tia Bynum had been suspended this past Wednesday and had just one prior disciplinary incident for crashing a police vehicle in 2013. (WGAL)
