Here are the top stories in Catonsville today:
- Over 200 Baltimore County Public Schools students and staff are currently in quarantine due to rising COVID-19 cases. These reported numbers reflect positive test results that have been self-reported to BCPS, as well as people who are quarantining due to close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. - There are just five more Catonsville Sunday Farmers Markets left in 2021! The final market of the year will be held on Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 15 Mellor Ave. Bundle up and check out this vibrant community event, then spend the rest of your afternoon shopping and dining in town. - More details have been released about disciplinary records of the former Baltimore County officers who abducted two young girls and were killed in a car crash this week following a police manhunt. Robert Vicosa, who had briefly worked in the Catonsville precinct, was terminated from his position with the BCPD in August 2021 after more than a decade of written reprimands, demotions, and failures to appear in court. Tia Bynum had been suspended this past Wednesday and had just one prior disciplinary incident for crashing a police vehicle in 2013. (WGAL)
