Police Ask for Leads in Lansdowne Homicide

The man was found stabbed to death in his home, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

Baltimore County police said homicide detectives are still looking for the person responsible for killing an 80-year-old Lansdowne man in his home last week.

Willard Dimitri Rykowski, 80, was found on the floor of his residence in the 300 block of Third Avenue on April 22, police said. He was stabbed multiple times, according to police, who said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rykowski was last seen at the 8 a.m. mass at St. Clement Church in Lansdowne on April 21, police said.

"Detectives have few leads in the case and are reaching out to the public for help," the Baltimore County Police Department said in an April 29 statement.
