Raise a Glass to Help Those Battling Cancer

Let’s raise a glass to toast those fighting the battle against the devastating effects of cancer. That toast can share more than just good will.  If you raise that glass at the Winter Wine Tasting on Thursday, February 20, your support of the cause will be transformed into actual physical assistance for patients undergoing cancer treatment. That’s because the Winter Wine Tasting hosted by the Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce is a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization Ribbons of Comfort.

The sponsorship of We Love Catonsville, Oakdale Fine Wine and Spirits and The Breadery make it possible for proceeds of the event to go toward this worthy cause. But it can’t happen without you.

Tickets to the event are only $30 in advance and are available at Oakdale and the Breadery, as well as by calling the Chamber office at 410-719-9609 or visiting the Chamber website at www.catonsville.org.

The Winter Wine Tasting will take place in the beautiful Victorian Overhills Mansion at 916 S. Rolling Road from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on February 20 (the inclement weather date is February 27). Enjoy seasonal hors d’oeuvres, sample a variety of unique, high quality wines, and relax to the live blues guitar of Automatic Slim and Jim Harrell.

Some come join us and help make life a little more bearable for those suffering from cancer. Cheers!
