  1. A Catonsville-area Red Cross Blood Drive is coming up soon. The coronavirus pandemic has put a damper on Red Cross blood donations at a time when the country needs to significantly boost its blood supply. The donation supply for certain blood types dwindled to less than a day's supply in recent weeks, according to the Red Cross. You can find local blood drives at the Catonsville United Methodist Church and Community College of Baltimore. (Catonsville Patch)
  2. Baltimore County is working to make sure senior citizens who need a booster shot have access to get it. The Baltimore County Department of Health is hosting three clinics in the next week at the Catonsville Senior Center at 501 North Rolling Road, the Ateaze Senior Center at 7401 Holabird Avenue, and the Jacksonville Senior Center at 3605A Sweet Air Road.   3. A "UFOs: Mysteries of the Skies" event will be held on Friday, Oct. 22 at the Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville Mathematics & Science Hall (MASH). Join one of the top UFO experts in the country, Rob Swiatek, as well as CCBC/UMBC professor Dr. S. Peter Resta for this two-hour event. Attendance is by reservation only. (CCBC Catonsville)
