🌱 Rookie Of The Week + MD Journalist Dies + Catonsville Jobs
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Catonsville.

Good day, neighbors! It's me again, Nicole Fallon-Peek, your host of the Catonsville Daily.
First, today's weather:
Breezy with clouds and sun. High: 56 Low: 37.
Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- A local lacrosse player has made the list of the Patriot League's Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week. Henry Tolker, a freshman player with the Navy, hails from Catonsville and graduated from Loyola Blakefield High School in Towson. Tolker received the Rookie of the Week award after recording his third-consecutive hat trick with a three-goal, one-assist performance against High Point. (Patriot League Official Athletic Site)
- On Sunday, Feb. 27, trailblazing journalist Ruth Leubecker passed away at the age of 80. Leubecker spent 20 years in the Maryland newspaper industry, eventually becoming the first female editor of any daily newspaper in Baltimore. She lent her services to multiple area publications, including The Catonsville Times and The Maryland Business Journal, during her illustrious career. (Machias Valley News Observer)
- Looking for a new career? Each week, Patch and ZipRecruiter partner to bring the latest Catonsville area job openings. Featured listings this week include a relationship banker role at M&T Bank; click the link for more information on this and other open positions. (Catonsville Patch)
Looking for a healthy alternative to that mid-week glass (or three) of wine? Our partners at Betera set out to create beverages that were sophisticated and flavorful enough to drink at cocktail hour but with zero hangover risk. (Their motto is "Drink like there's tomorrow.") Betera's drinks are designed by a Michelin-starred chef using natural botanicals — they're lightly effervescent, sippable, refreshingly bitter and at home in a stem glass or in a highball on the rocks. Betera offers three recipes — Rhubarb-Hibiscus, Elderflower-Lime and Ginger-Orange. We've tried all three and loved them equally — we recommend the mixed case as a great place to start.
Betera has extended their 15% discount on first orders to Daily readers, in appreciation for the enthusiastic response so far. Enter Patch15 at checkout and https://bit.ly/TryBetera.
