Santa's Helper Responds To Children's Letters From Catonsville Home
A Catonsville man has read and answered countless letters to Santa for the past 20 years.
CATONSVILLE, MD — Nestled in cozy Catonsville happens to be a modern day Santa's helper who spends his December reading letters written to the big guy at the North Pole and responding to them one by one. As a carpenter, he even constructed a mailbox to store the hundreds of letters addressed to Santa at the North Pole.
“I mean, good feelings in my chest, in my inner heart, just good feelings about doing something for the community as well as for the children,” Rick Brostrom told KCRG. “They can’t just tell their parents what they want for Christmas, and this is a way they can show it and express themselves."
Brostrom said some of the letters are silly, while others sweet. A few are particularly heartwarming and a handful have made him cry.
