Here are the top stories in Catonsville today:

1. Giant Food is teaming up with Flashfood on a pilot program to solve food waste. Shoppers at the Catonsville Giant Food, as well as the grocery chain's Ellicott City, Maryland and Falls Church, Virginia locations, can download the Flashfood app to browse deals for heavily discounted food nearing its best-by date. Customers can purchase fresh products like meat, produce boxes, dairy and bakery items, as well as center store foods and snacks, directly through the app, and then pick up their orders from the Flashfood zone located inside a participating store. (Progressive Grocer)
2. Local residents continue to put pressure on Baltimore County Council to scrap its redistricting map, which many claim is unfair to minorities. Citizens are also complaining that Tuesday night's public hearing was "hastily called and not properly advertised," which meant many residents didn't know about it until after it happened. Democratic Council Chairman Julian Jones said the Council is continuing to take suggestions and input from the public before redistricting legislation is submitted at its scheduled Nov. 15 meeting. 3. The Catonsville Chamber of Commerce is partnering with VIM Chiropractic & Wellness Center and Catonsville Rails to Trails, Inc. for their Community in Motion Free Wellness Walking Series. The series kicks off at 9 a.m. on Oct. 31 at 1011 Frederick Rd. After a warm-up, participants will go on a 45-minute walk around Catonsville that ends at the Chamber's Sunday Farmers Market. The kickoff event will include refreshments, prize drawings, and giveaways. (Catonsville Chamber of Commerce)
